In simplest terms, the fashion industry could be described as the business of making clothes, but that would omit the important distinction between fashion and apparel.
The impact of COVID on the fashion industry
Due to this pandemic period that has bought a huge waver change in the business and the method it has been functioning, I dread to think is all about the impact of COVID to the fashion industry.
After so much research, here I will mention the five ways that the fashion industry will evolve, and a fair idea on the changes in fashion and style in post-COVID that impacts the fashion industry.
There will be a lot many changes in the way the fashion industry is been functioning. Coronavirus has changed a whole lot across the globe of business strategies and has bought major changes to different aspects of life. Fashion and style are being completely changed in the fashion industry from the thought process, manufacturer to the consumer.
The psychological and physical behavioral changes
It is inescapable to understand your consumer's requirements and the psychological and physical behavioral changes to fulfill their wants and style towards fashion and style. The more and better you understand your consumer is the deeper you get in their lifestyle and build your business. While some of the changes may or may not be permanent but if ever fashion had to be reinvented, then it is NOW.
5 elementary ways the fashion industry will evolve post-COVID
1) The fundamental weakness in the traditional fashion business
Production on-demand will be given more importance. From the past many years, the fashion industry has been manufacturing products in bulk as per seasons, without any customer feedback, and then running into huge liquidation issues.
Now as there would be a huge difference in the procedure that business was performing, people will give more importance to time, comfort, finances, values, and essentials. So, getting customers ' feedback and producing as per the needs will be the most important aspect of a fashion business.
2) Fashion as a way of work and life
Work from home will be highly embraced and balance in a work-life combination will be in high demand. People will take on fashion as a style at work and life, which allows them to stay comfortable with free of expressions towards smart casual wear even in offices. Uncomfortable work attire will be floating away in future trends.
A new work ethical fashionable and trending outfits, smart casual wear will be significant demand. New designs with comfort and sustainability will be a priority.
3) Embrace ethical and sustainable fashion as a lifestyle
Ethical and sustainable fashion is not a trend but the future of fashion and approach towards sourcing, manufacturing, and designing clothes that maximizes the benefits to the industry and society at a large scale at the same time minimizes the impacts on the environment. Today, sustainability is a way of doing business rather than just a concept.
COVID could ignite a permanent shift away from fast fashion to sustainable fashion permanently.

E-commerce will play a much more vital role in the coming years. The complete business strategies will grow through online presence and engagements with clients. Fashion companies must offer an online compelling unique selling point with cost-effective, lucid designs, personalization, and affordable fashion will be the need of the hour. An online presence will have a high impact on transparency and competition. Online fashion therapy and customizations which is mobile friendly and easy to navigate the online store will be a trend.
A new wardrobe collection will be on high demand for post-COVID. Due to COVID, and lockdown, consumers have been very cautious about their essential requirements and finances. Once everything is getting to normal with trade, shopping would be the first and foremost priority for consumers to get into their new designs and outfits.
5) Creativity, the Invention, and Discovery
The change due to COVID will bring new opportunities to showcase creativity in fashion and business. As per the consumer's requirements, there will be many open ideas and fashion getting involved in discoveries and inventions that will define a new term for fashion. Creating yarns to weaves, fabrics to designs, is an interesting and most creative aspect of fashion.
People are also eagerly waiting to see the new changes in the industry that will add value to their new lifestyle and requirements.

Yes since it's usually work from home comfortable airy clothes can be designed for the working people and since housewives are in nighties only day in and day out nighties can be made little stylish so that we don't look dull and haggard in the nighties. Instead of floral prints only some new designs can be tried
